My Top 10 Favourite Health and Fitness Instagram Accounts

I thought I'd do something a little different for this blog and share where I get some of my inspiration from. For those of you who have Instagram accounts, I wanted to share with you my top 10 favourite health and fitness accounts that I follow. These accounts have an endless supply of great content, whether it be recipes, workouts or lifestyle.

However, before I get in to that I also wanted to talk a little about social media. It can be a funny thing and if you're anything like me, you may find every now and then you get sucked into the endless scrolling without actually gaining anything from it. If you're one of those people, maybe have a go at limiting your time on a platform. Swap it out for that workout you wanted to try or that recipe you never got round to making. The occasional digital 'detox' can be quite refreshing.

Social media should also be a positive influence in your life not a negative one. There are thousands of accounts we could be following and sometimes they may not always make us feel good about ourselves. The constant comparisons, the unrealistic goals, the highly edited photos, whatever their content may be. If an account has that effect on you then unfollow them. Simple. Surround yourself with the good not the bad.

With that in mind here's a few of my favourite accounts and why. This isn't an exhaustive list as you'll be reading for hours if it was!

Alice Liveing @aliceliveing
I love Alice's Instagram account. Her meals are delicious and simple. Her workouts effective and creative and she's always spreading the love!

Chessie King @chessiekingg
Chessie is a ray of sunshine on my feed, always promoting body confidence and keeping it real. She's full of workout inspiration too.

Rhiannon Lambert @rhitrition
Qualified nutritionist and writer of the book Re-Nourish, Rhiannon is a fountain of knowledge. I love how I'm always learning something new from her.

The Girls Gains - Tally, Zanna and Victoria @thegirlgains
Now I've cheated a little here as all three of these ladies have awesome accounts you should be following but collectively they're also the founders of The Girl Gains. Their aim is to bring women together within the community to empower, educate and inspire! They've also just released a podcast, Ft & Fearless.

Bradley Simmons @bradleysimmonds
Celebrity personal trainer, with his feed providing an abundance of workout inspiration from weights, to cardio to bodyweight, there's nothing that isn't covered. Bradley is always educating his followers on training methods too.

Hazel Wallace @thefoodmedic
Doctor, PT, Author. I received Hazel's book for Christmas and it's definitely worth a buy. Just like her Instagram account, it's filled with yummy recipes. Hazel uses her knowledge of food and fitness to encourage positive lifestyle changes to help us lead better lives and prevent diseases.

Twice The Health - Emily and Hannah @twicethehealth
As a keen runner, I really enjoy the content Emily and Hannah provide. They're both avid runners too and enjoy setting themselves a challenge.

Jordan Syatt @syattfitness
There's no messing about with this guy. Jordan is constantly busting those fitness myths and telling it how it is. He's got a wicked sense of humour as well.

Becki Rabin @beckirabin
Becki is a personal trainer and founder of the online magazine, Alternatively Healthy. She promotes health and wellness in the best possible way. She's honest and encourages us to find happiness for us, in what ever way that might be.

Joe Wicks @thebodycoach
I don't think this guy needs much of an introduction. One of his recipe books is probably sitting on your shelf at home. The perfect account for recipes and workout ideas.

As I said I could go on and on but maybe I'll save the rest for another blog post down the line. I hope you've found this helpful and I'd love any recommendations of your favourite accounts you think are worth a follow. Please also remember that these are my views and opinions and we're all entitled to our own.
