My August Adventures in London

August has been another pretty busy month both socially and study orientated. I've been finishing off my Level three Diploma in Personal Training (I'll be blogging a update soon) but there's always time for a few new adventures! As you may have already guessed they're usually based around food of some sort and this month was no different!

My first outing was to Rasa in Stoke Newington for a friend's birthday. The restaurant specialises in South Indian food, there's two sister restaurants across the road from each other; one vegetarian, one not. We were in the non-vegetarian restaurant but I'd definitely like to try the other. The food was so delicious and packed full of flavour! We finished the night off with a few drinks and a boogie at NT's in London Fields. Great for music and a view across East London!

Now what better way is there to spend a sunny Sunday morning other than brunch? 'None' I hear you say, exactly! Which is why myself, the boy and my housemates headed out in search of coffee and eggs. I have to say I haven't explored my local area as much as I should have and I have been missing out some epic brunch spots. This time we found ourselves at Beans & Barley on Green Lanes. We found a table out on their porch to enjoy the sunshine but on those cooler days they've got plenty of seating inside. The Shakshuka instantly caught my eye but we'll definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu! The coffee was pretty good too!

For my last adventure of the month I found myself back in Norfolk for the Bank Holiday weekend (I know not quite London). As a Christmas present my Brother and his Girlfriend had bought us Afternoon Tea at Congham Hall and we had finally got round to going. On arrival we had the opportunity to choose where we wanted to enjoy our afternoon so we opted for a cosy lounge rather than the restaurant.

We were given a selection of teas and coffee to chose from before the food descended on us. I always find afternoon tea pretty filling and this was no exception; the sandwiches, scones and cakes were in abundance! I'm not usually one for leaving any of the sweet stuff but I had to this time round. We spent a very leisurely afternoon gossiping and having some long over-due family time. Congham Hall is just stunning so if you ever in the area I'd recommend dropping by!
