My March Adventures in London

It only feels like two minutes ago I was writing January and February blogs about my adventures! This year is flying past far too quickly for my liking! March has been rather an odd month and I've spent most of weekends outside of London and not had much time to explore during the week but I've still managed to squeeze in a few new things.

Week nine of the year took me to a lovely little Italian restaurant in Soho called Polpetto. I spent a leisurely Saturday afternoon with a group of girls friends feasting on some scrummy food and setting the world to rights! The restaurant specialises in tapas style dishes, we opted for a couple of pizzette's, crab linguini, zucchini fries, crocchettes and calamari. We polished the lot off and couldn't fault a thing. It would have been rude not to try dessert, they serve homemade tiramisu out of huge trifle dishes and give you a great big dollop straight into your bowl! Everyone went for that option except me (always like to be a little different) and went for the Caramel budino, such a treat! We followed up with some traditional Italian coffee and by this point we were all fit to burst! Safe to say I spent the rest of my afternoon sprawled out on the sofa! If you fancy a visit, I'd recommend calling ahead as table space is limited and it's definitely a popular haunt!

Unfortunately, the following week had me housebound due to a nasty virus so I wasn't able to explore anything new in London. Boo!

My next adventure wasn't in London but I thought I'd mention it anyway. I headed back to Norfolk for an early Mother's Day weekend as I was away in Edinburgh for the actual day. As a bit of treat I took Mum to Bannatyne Spa in Peterborough for some much needed pampering and quality time together. It's not very often I get to spoil my Mum and spend time just the two of us so it was lovely to have a good old chin wag. We spent the morning hopping in and out of the steam rooms and finished off the day with a 30 minute neck, back and shoulder massage. Apparently, just what the doctor ordered as I'm carrying a lot of tension in my back! Note to self, get more massages!

My final adventure of March led me to the electric ballroom in Camden for a night of power ballads! My housemate booked the tickets on a whim over a month ago and I'm so glad she did! The place was full to the brim of people singing their hearts out to all the classics and having the best time. I mean who doesn't love a good sing song! We managed to get ourselves a couple of inflatable's, as you can see from my photos, and that only added to our fun! If you're looking for a good night out with friend I'd recommend this hands down!

Well that's another month gone and a few more things checked off the bucket list! I've already got lots of exciting things planned for April so stay tuned for an update!
