My December Adventures in London

Well here it is my final installment of my London adventures. At the start of the year I set myself a goal to explore as much of London as I could, granted most of it has been filled with food (the best kind of exploring if you ask me), but it has been an absolute blast! It turns out that over the course of the year my plans changed and it's not only the last post of the year but also my last month living in London, so I've been cramming as much in as possible.

I kick started the month with an afternoon out with my house mates, we set some time aside to do something adventurous and spend some quality time together before I leave. We headed over to Zap Space for an hour of pure fun! The three of us turned into big kids bouncing, flipping and wrestling our way through all the activities. I'd definitely recommend putting this on the to do list for a rainy day!

My next outing involved one of the nicest pizza's I've ever had! I'd arranged to meet a few friends for a bite to eat to say farewell at Pizza East, in Shoreditch, as I'd heard good things. I'll also be spreading the good word as it was spot on! I went for the aubergine, scamorza and pesto pizza, delicious!

My final weekend in London was jammed packed and it all started with going to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. We'd been lucky enough to get tickets last year and the day had finally arrived, safe to say we were all a little excited! Now I'm not going to reveal too much as we've sworn to keep the secrets, and the anticipation for everyone who is yet to see it, but it's worth the wait! It really is magical!

My last but by no means least adventure was a very festive one with girls. We headed out for a Christmas dinner at Balans Soho Society. The food was great and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. I started with breaded brie, followed by traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings and finished with chocolate torte. As you can tell from the pictures, the portion sizes were pretty hefty and we were all feeling like we needed a nap but nothing a little ice skating couldn't sort out. We headed over to the Natural History Museum to take to the rink. It's been a couple of years since I last skated but after a wobbly start I found my feet and managed to stay upright the whole time! Quite impressed with myself. It's a lovely venue and I left feeling very much in the Christmas spirit! Also, a massive shout out to whoever my Secret Santa was as I loved my avocado cook book, thank you.

And that's a wrap, a year full of wonderful memories in London. No doubt I'll be back visiting friends on a regular basis but for now it's time to say goodbye and head for home.
