My Top 5 Favourite Health and Fitness Podcast Part Two

I’ve previously written a blog post about some of my favourite podcasts within the health and fitness industry. I find they’re a great resource along with reading books and articles for increasing your knowledge and opening you up to new and current topics. As there are so many awesome ones out there I thought I’d share with you some further podcasts. I still listen to those from part one so if you missed it, you can find it here.
Podcasts can be a great alternative to listening to music or the radio if you fancy a little change. Plug in on a walk, run or even in the gym. I’ve also started listening to them in the car as I have a 45 minute commute to work.
I’m always looking for recommendations too so if you’ve got any favourites, let me know in the comments or pop me a message.

Well Far: The Running Podcast by Amy Hopkinson
Now I’m a bit late to the party with this one and probably should have started listening sooner but I’m here now and loving it so far. Amy is the Digital Editor at Women’s Health but is also an avid runner. She’s recorded this podcast in the run up (pun intended) to completing the London marathon. Alongside her celebrities and expert guest, Amy chats about training techniques, wearing the correct kit and injuries. Now don’t worry if you’re not training for a marathon, it’s not a necessity. The podcast is perfect if you’re just starting out running, wanting to expand your knowledge on the area or get in the mindset for a challenge. You can pick and choose which episodes you want to listen to based on your interests. There’s something for everyone.

Food for Thought Podcast with Rhiannon Lambert
This podcast is very much about living a healthy lifestyle and provides you with plenty of evidence and advice to do this. Rhiannon Lambert is a highly recognised Nutritionist setting out to burst those myths and provide us with accurate information surrounding multiple topics. The podcast covers a wide range of different areas from fitness, mental health and of course food and nutrition. Series four is in full swing so there’ll be plenty for you to catch up on and find something you’re interested in.

The Food Medic Podcast by Dr Hazel Wallace
This is one I’ve been listening to for a while. Now three seasons in, the content and interesting topics just keep on coming. The Food Medic is hosted by Dr Hazel Wallace, a medical doctor working in the NHS, personal trainer and blogger. Not to mention her ever growing recipe list! Hazel discusses current issues from nutrition; to body image and sleep alongside her guests who are specialists within their field. Each episode is informative but easily digestible.

Give Me Strength with Alice Liveing
You may know Alice from Instagram with her awesome workouts, recipes and sharing her knowledge as a Personal Trainer. She’s recently released 10 podcasts interviewing incredible women including Bryony Gordon and Kelly Holmes, discussing all things strength. Not just in the physical form but mental strength too. It’s wonderfully inspiring and I’m looking forward to season two.

Deliciously Ella
The podcast is hosted by Matthew and Ella Mills, the founders of the brand Deliciously Ella. As well as this they also create tasty plant based products and recipes. There nut butter balls are some of my favourites. The podcast covers a huge range of areas within the health and wellness industry, from skincare to gut health and sustainability. This is another one that depending on your mood and the topic, there’s plenty to choose from.

Happy Listening!
