Berry Smoothie Breakfast Bowl Recipe

With the warmer weather making an appearance now and then I've been getting creative with my breakfast. I don't always fancy my usual porridge oats when it's warm so this refreshing smoothie bowl is a perfect alternative. It's also a great way to pack in plenty of those 5 a-day to get you off to a great start. You can be as creative as you like with your toppings. I love using a bit of granola for some added crunch! Enjoy!

Ingredients
2 large handfuls of frozen berries of your choosing
2 heaped tbsp greek yoghurt
1 scoop of vanilla whey protein (optional)
150-200ml almond milk (or milk of your choice)

For toppings: Fruit, granola, chia seeds or anything else you fancy

Method

  1. Add all the ingredients (except for the toppings) into a blender and blitz until smooth
  2. You can alter the consistency of the smoothie by adding more or less milk
  3. Pour into a bowl, add your toppings and enjoy!
