My Top 5 Favourite Health and Fitness Podcasts

I recently did a blog post on my top 10 favourite Instagram accounts so I thought I'd do another one like this but on Podcasts. When I lived in London I used to listen to Podcasts everyday on my commute to and from work. I'd plug myself in, jump on the bus and shut the rest of the world out. Once I moved back to Norfolk, I stopped listening to them for a while but I've recently been finding the time to start again.

I often plug myself in when I'm taking the dog out for a walk or on my cardio days in the gym. Not all the podcasts I've listened to have been health and fitness related, I love 'My Dad Wrote a Porno' and series like 'S-Town' and 'Accused' but I'm going to focus on health and fitness ones for the purpose of this blog.

Fit & Fearless
This podcast is hosted by the founders of GirlGains, Tally, Zanna and Vic. They're bubbly, down to earth and talking all things fitness and body confidence. Each episode has special guests and they delve into topics such as pre and post-natal fitness and yoga and meditation. The ladies round up each episode by busting a myth. The episodes last around 30 minutes so were perfect for my cardio days at the gym. Well worth a listen!

The 3 Dumbbells
I've listened to these 3 guys from the beginning of the podcast and 40 episodes in I haven't missed one yet. Matt, Seb and Fred record each episode with a bunch of grapes (if you listen you'll know what I'm talking about) and a huge sense of humour. I've laughed out loud many a times when listening. They don't edit their recordings so what you hear is all for real! They often have special guests but most of all they're so relatable. As someone who is new to the fitness industry and trying to make her way through the crowds I've found many of their podcast useful sources of information.

The Doctor's Kitchen
Dr Rupy Aujla is a medical doctor and 'a firm believer in the power of food and lifestyle change as medicine.' His first season is a guide through the 5 principles of healthy eating. From what to put on your plate to how eating effects our sleep. He, along with his guests, make the science behind the principles easy to understand. I'm looking forward to season two!

Happy Place
Fearne Cotton has recently released a podcast called 'Happy Place'. She talks to various guests about her own experiences and their's on overcoming difficult situations, times of feeling overwhelmed and a little blue. My favourite episode to date is that with Stephen Fry, who discusses his own personal mental health difficulties and how his condition does not define him but is part of him. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health, therefore, we should discuss this just as much. Hats off to Fearne and her guests!

Ben Coomber Radio
Ben's a nutritionists, speaker and writer. Save to say this guy certainly knows his stuff. I've recently discovered his podcasts and Ben's released over 300 episodes so I've got some catching up to do! However, all the episodes I've listened to so far have been really interesting and informative. He often has guests on, talking all things health and fitness. One to add to the lists if you haven't already!

Please note all views are my own and this is by no means an exhaustive lists. If you have any recommendations of Podcasts to listen to please pop me a message or leave a comment :)
